Privacy Policy
Applicable to swiftbox.in only · Last updated 16 July 2026
1. Zero-Database Architecture
SwiftBox does not operate a central server-side database. Your mailbox credentials, custom signatures, and address book are encrypted and stored only inside a hidden application folder on your own Google Drive (appDataFolder), accessible exclusively to the SwiftBox app under your Google account. We cannot see this data, and it is deleted the moment you remove it from your Drive.
2. What We Access
- Your Google profile (name, email) via OAuth 2.0, used only to identify your session.
- Your Google Drive
appDataFolder, to store and retrieve your encrypted configuration and contacts. - A visible SwiftBox folder in your Drive, used only when you explicitly click "Save to Drive" on an email attachment.
- Your connected IMAP/SMTP mail servers, contacted live and on-demand to fetch headers, message bodies, and attachments, and to send mail. Message content is never cached or written to a SwiftBox-owned server or database.
3. What We Don't Store
We do not retain copies of your emails, attachments, or credentials on any SwiftBox-operated server or database. Each session streams data directly between your browser, your Google account, and your mail provider.
4. Third-Party Services
SwiftBox relies on Google (OAuth and Drive storage) and your own mail hosting provider (IMAP/SMTP). Your use of those services remains subject to their respective privacy policies.
5. Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic and product usage (pages visited, general engagement). Google Analytics uses cookies and may collect your IP address and browser/device information under Google's own privacy policy. It does not have access to your email content, attachments, or mailbox credentials — those never leave the direct connection between your browser, your mail provider, and your own Google Drive as described above.
6. Your Control
You can remove a linked mailbox at any time from Account Settings, which deletes its stored configuration. Revoking SwiftBox's access from your Google Account permissions removes all remaining stored data immediately, since it lives in your own Drive.
